Do YOU know what your end-users are experiencing?

Knowing what kind of system performance your end-users are experiencing at any given moment is a crucial part of IT service management. Without it, your users may be waiting in frustration for an application to load, or unable to process a critical business transaction that impacts the organisation’s bottom line.

In this March issue of Compuware Insight, we focus on helping you to monitor, understand and improve the end-user experience (EUE).  We hear from the world’s only build-your -own stuffed toy retailer, Build-A-Bear Workshop, about the importance of ensuring a great end-user experience across three e-commerce sites and an exciting new virtual world.

Also, be sure to download our free eBook chapter and view our on-demand webcast on EUE for effective Business Service Management.  You can also watch our featured webcast to learn how a major US healthcare provider has been able to discover and address systems performance issues, and read a case study  featuring leading service provider, Getronics, who live by their global customers’ experience.  In our second featured webcast, two IT directors from leading US law firms discuss their IT issues and share some best practices.

Finally, we have some news of our own:  the appointment of Bob Paul to the post of Compuware President and COO.  Bob will be leading our exciting Compuware 2.0 transformation initiative, as well as taking overall responsibility for our worldwide products and services operations and other key functions. You can read more about Bob’s appointment below.

As always, we hope you find this newsletter useful and informative. If you have any questions about anything you’ve read in this issue, or if you have any comments or questions, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Spotlight: Build-a-Bear Workshop

When your business is built around ’letting customers create their own customized stuffed toys, ensuring an enjoyable customer experience is a top priority. It’s even more important in an e-commerce environment, where the customer must navigate through all of the options alone.  Build-A-Bear Workshop, the world’s only make-your-own-stuffed-toy retailer, needed to make sure that visitors to its three e-commerce sites and its new online virtual world always have an excellent experience. In this interview, Build-A-Bear Workshop’s director of IT Network Systems tells us why Compuware Vantage was the only solution that could monitor all four web environments to help ensure an outstanding end-user experience at all times.

Webcast: Closing the IT/Business Gap: Monitoring the End-user Experience

Traditional frameworks and infrastructure management tools do a good job of monitoring individual technology components, but they fail to provide an accurate measure of the service quality that end users actually experience.
