ATOS Origin revolutionises QA with Test Factory approach

With software testing accounting for up to 35% of the entire software development and management life cycle, it is no surprise that large IT services companies want to make it more efficient without compromising on application quality. With this in mind, international IT services company ATOS Origin has taken a revolutionary approach to software testing, by ‘industrialising’ and standardising testing activities across its entire worldwide operation. Using Compuware’s Test Factory solution, ATOS Origin will introduce standard testing tools and processes for all of its local and offshore development teams, enabling faster and more effective testing and allowing clients to follow the QA process more closely. This innovative Test Factory model will be rolled out initially in the UK, Spain and France, with the rest of the world to follow shortly.

UK analyst firm Bloor Research has conducted a full evaluation of the solution and found it to be an ideal stepping stone for organisations that want to move eventually to a full-scale quality governance approach to software development, testing and management. Compuware is pleased to announce that QACenter Performance Edition 5.5 became generally available on 12 February. A highly scalable performance testing and monitoring solution for e-commerce, distributed client/server and packaged enterprise applications, version 5.5.1 includes a maintenance release of QALoad 5.5.1 as well as HTTP/SSL Middleware enhancements, Citrix Web Interface support, ICA File handling, and enhancements for SAP Middleware and Oracle Forms Server.
