Compuware aquires SteelTrace

Compuware has acquired requirements management company SteelTrace. SteelTrace has developed a solution that aims to bridge the communications gap between business and IT. It does so by helping users to capture, model, maintain and manage requirements for software projects in a structured way and in language that can be understood by both technical and non-technical people.

OptimalJ plus SteelTrace equals better collaboration

Compuware and its new acquisition, SteelTrace, have collaborated to integrate OptimalJ, Compuware’s model-driven Java development solution, with SteelTrace’s model-based solution for requirements capture and management. The combined solution gives stakeholders of all levels and degrees of technicality the ability to share requirements information dynamically. That means Java applications can be developed both faster and to a higher quality than ever before.

Uniface plays key role in massive construction project

When leading aluminium producer Aluminerie Alouette decided to double the capacity of its plant near Quebec, it made sense to expand IT capabilities too. The company chose Uniface as the platform for the upgrade, and brought in Compuware professional services to help carry it out. Uniface systems are now enabling a range of hi-tech processes, including interaction with robots.
