Vantage assures continuity of service for law firm

Leading US law firm Honigman Miller Schwartz and Cohn LLP needed a new application service management solution to ensure optimal service levels for its 600 users. After the successful implementation of Vantage on seven Exchange servers, the firm decided to extend the solution to all 90 servers. The IT team can now prevent systems problems from disrupting service to the firm’s 15,000 clients. When a document management server went down during the night, it was up and running again within five minutes.

Application performance to the fore, says IDC

A new white paper from IDC discusses the need for system and application management software that can cope with complex, distributed and multi-tier environments. A recent survey reveals this area as a prime concern for IT executives, with over one-third of respondents deploying projects in the coming year. IDC discusses the challenges of getting to grips with issues like performance, availability, scalability and problem resolution, and evaluates Compuware’s approach, concluding that Vantage “provides a comprehensive set of software tools to monitor and analyse application performance”.
